Bert BertanyiBert Bertanyi is a Senior Project Manager for Stonemark Construction Management. Accomplished in all facets of construction and project management, he has more than 20 years experience in both the private and public sectors and has managed hundreds of complex and technically challenging projects for blue chip clients throughout California and Arizona. His hands-on leadership and expertise in planning & budgeting, controls & scheduling and managing complex design and engineering allow him to develop and mentor highly productive teams and successfully manage large-scale, high-profile projects from pre-construction through close-out.

Before joining Stonemark, Bert held positions as senior project manager for C.W. Driver and Turner Construction Company, where he was responsible for a broad range of projects in the aerospace, high-tech, bio-pharmaceutical, bio-technology, healthcare, education and retail/commercial sectors. Most recently, he served as senior project manager for a $94 million 60-foot-tall rocket manufacturing facility for Aerojet/Rocketdyne and a $15 million surgical facility for Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, both in the Los Angeles area.

Prior to that, Bert spearheaded the completion of a $35 million bio-pharmaceutical manufacturing support facility for Bayer Corporation and a $45 million high school campus for Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). He has also managed a $125 million portfolio of projects for one of the world’s largest and highest valued semiconductor chip makers, $110 million in projects for Amgen, and over $45 million in projects for Baxter.

Bert studied architecture at Arizona State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management. He holds a California contractor’s license, as well as training and certifications in Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), OSHA 30-Hour safety, and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP).
