Montecito Residential Construction Management Projects

Commercial Residences
Stonemark has earned a preeminent position in the exclusive enclave of Montecito as an objective, experienced Owner’s Representative by consistently demonstrating the successful delivery of our clients’ projects. Our numerous Montecito projects are some of the most exquisite architectural estate homes in the area including a 13,000 SF classical estate in the Montecito Village and a 15,000 SF Mediterranean family retreat directly on Butterfly Beach, both designed by Appleton Partners Architects, and a 16,000 SF ultra-modern green estate built into its ridgetop site high in the Montecito foothills, designed by ShubinDonaldson Architects. Our extensive residential portfolio includes projects designed by some of today’s most renowned architects including Harrison Design, Studio William Hefner, Kruger Benson Ziemer and Michael Maltzan Architecture. Our design partners include Victoria Hagan, Nicole Hollis and Steven Volpe Design.Construction and development in Montecito requires a methodical approach to identification of permit requirements, costs and entitlement timelines, permitting and conditions compliance. Approvals are required by the Santa Barbara County Planning Commission, the Montecito Planning Commission, the Montecito Community Land Use Committee and the Montecito Board of Review. The Montecito Community Plan adds constraints for safeguarding wildlife corridors, sensitive hillside habitat and biological and archeological resources. Stonemark president Bart Mendel’s long-term residence and reputation in the Montecito and larger Santa Barbara communities provide the invaluable first-hand experience and deep community connections necessary to anticipate and navigate the complex local jurisdictional requirements and lead your project through to successful completion. We help our clients save time and money – and bring a harmonious approach to construction in the challenging environment of Montecito.
Our Work

Stonemark is very intentional in how they bring strong leadership to each project. They have the finesse to both systematically manage the client’s expectations in controlling the budget and the timeline, and be the catalyst in empowering the overall design team to work cohesively, which allows us to creatively push the envelope inside the best interests of the client and project. We always look forward to working with Stonemark on our most complex and demanding projects.
