2nd Update - Pacific Palisades Contemporary Estate

Structural Concrete Work

Construction of the second floor structural concrete deck is proceeding.  Reinforcing steel (rebar) is in place for the large structural concrete beams that hold up the central atrium.  All of the plywood form work will shortly be covered in rebar to prepare for a very large concrete pour of about 450 cubic yards, which the contractor hopes to do in one fell swoop.  This is 50+ trucks of concrete!  Traffic control is a big part of the story.  They will probably use two to four concrete pumps working simultaneously.  It should be an interesting all day concrete pour!
