UCLA Medical Building & Surgery Center
Automated Vehicle Storage/Retrieval parking system for UCLA garage
Stonemark is managing preconstruction and construction phase services for the design and installation of an Automated Vehicle Storage/Retrieval System (AVSRS) for a UCLA medical building and surgical center in Santa Monica. The building has a 54,255 SF subterranean parking garage with six levels and 241 spaces. Scope of work includes removal of the existing defective automated equipment and extensive modifications to the building structure, mechanical, electrical and fire protection systems to accommodate the new automated parking system, as well as procurement and management of the AVSRS supply and installation. The scope of work included complex multi-party negotiations with stakeholders to obtain consensus on an effective retrofit design that accommodated all concerns within an operating surgical center.
