Stonemark managed the complex-wide cast iron pipe replacement and mold remediation projects in these occupied units. We evaluated the causation of pipe failure and through early prototypical repairs to a three-story stack of units, worked out the details for the most economical and least intrusive method of repair in the occupied homes. Stonemark oversaw the work directly under our 'Construction Manager as Builder' project model where we developed an assembly-line process for both pipe replacement and mold remediation. Cost savings from this approach, including systematic testing and remediation of units en masse rather than individually, created savings for this client in the range of 25% over traditional hazardous materials abatement and construction delivery models.
